Little Avery and our Father in Heaven both know when the right time will be for her to come home. We were supposed to bring Haylee home and we got up to the hospital all excited and ready, filled out all the discharge paperwork, and found out that the neonatologist hadn't signed a particular release paper. He left earlier that day for a two-day vacation, so we couldn't bring her home until we got that ONE signature. ARE YOU KIDDING???!!! As it turns out, Haylee developed a random temp that same night and had to be treated with IV fluids. Had we taken her home earlier that day, we would have had to take her back to the hospital through some nasty emergency room to be re-admitted. What a blessing in disguise...one missed signature..
What I'm trying to say is - there's a time and a season for everything.mandy harlinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05619703738695974999noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7407709648225497513.post-84520004487984095142008-10-08T14:52:00.000-06:002008-10-08T14:52:00.000-06:00what a sweet, sweet little girl! i'm so glad to f...what a sweet, sweet little girl! i'm so glad to finally see her and wish i would've known sooner that you had a blog....

what a dear dad! all his cute posts about his baby girl :) you guys are in my prayers and can't wait to see you steph!!

your baby gift is just waiting for you....hope to get it to you soon! The House that James Builthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12062443928733021693noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7407709648225497513.post-67637300869495095602008-10-08T12:27:00.000-06:002008-10-08T12:27:00.000-06:00Steph, I found your blog through my friend Maggie...Steph,
I found your blog through my friend Maggie Gardner who I met at BYU. This is the first I heard about your early delivery and glad to hear that Avery is making improvements and may get to go home soon (I sat down and read through your whole blog before posting). I hope she's able to go home soon and stay healthy! I'll keep referring to your blog to keep myself updated!
Love, Kasey (from BYU-H)Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03515847460166169513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7407709648225497513.post-30983643232195379142008-10-06T06:19:00.000-06:002008-10-06T06:19:00.000-06:00hey sweet baby... Once it got postponed literally 1 hour before we were to leave.

Keep growing, Avery...you don't know this yet, but life will be way better at home with Mom and Dad! :)Kimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15069654430006013946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7407709648225497513.post-91142218844917845312008-10-05T08:16:00.000-06:002008-10-05T08:16:00.000-06:00So sorry. But TWO days, just TWO days, before we were scheduled to bring him home he got a UTI. They kept him for TEN more days to run a course of antibiotics. Those 10 days felt longer than the whole 2 months he was there. Knowing you are so close, but yet so far is rough. Sometimes when I'm in the middle of something totally crazy & stressful I try to stop, catch my breath, and tell myself "Some day I will look back on this and say Wow,I made it through that!" I am sending you a giant 'blogger' hug right now! :)Jessy, Greg, Grace, Jack, Nora, and Lexihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02847543251953223314noreply@blogger.com
